About

About Jeannette Simon

Jeannette Simon is the founder of Ananizach Mentoring Consulting, a firm dedicated to helping organizations, communities, schools, and churches build mentoring programs that are successful, sustainable, and fundable. The name Ananizach honors her grandson Ananias and her nephew Zachary, both lost to violence, and represents her commitment to turning grief into purpose.

With more than 3 decade of experience in the mentoring field, Jeannette has worked at every level: designing and running a youth mentoring program, leading corporate mentoring initiatives, contributing to national mentoring partnerships, and now consulting with communities to build programs from the ground up.

A proud Morgan State University alumna who went back to school at 30 as a single mother and graduated debt-free, Jeannette brings a rare combination of academic training, lived experience, and genuine compassion to her work. She has served as Vice President of Membership for CMS Toastmasters, where she introduced Mystery to Mastery host Keisha Shepherd to the organization, later becoming her Toastmasters mentor and helping her prepare for major speeches. Jeannette is a speaker and a tireless advocate for the belief that every young person deserves a wise and trusted friend and guide.

In this episode of Mystery to Mastery, Jeannette shares why mentoring programs struggle, how to build one the right way, why starting small is the key to lasting impact, and how the hardest moments in life can become the foundation for the most meaningful work you will ever do.
