Tremain Davis on Entrepreneurship, AI, and Building Global Impact From Nothing

Spotify
Tremain Davis is an entrepreneur from Washington, D.C.'s Southeast side who started his first company, a sports recruitment platform called C-Athlete.com, at nineteen years old, leaving a full basketball scholarship and a free education on the table to build it. Even though the company didn't survive, he says the three years he spent building it taught him more about business, sales, and technology than any classroom could have.
Today, Tremain is an eight-time founder with more than 25 years of entrepreneurship experience. He has helped build AI companies from the ground up, including one serving students with disabilities that has since grown into a global company with offices in Europe and deals in the Middle East, and he is preparing to launch a new AI-powered platform helping nonprofits and fiscal sponsors manage grant research, writing, and reporting.
Though he describes himself as a business guy, not a tech guy, Tremain has learned to apply AI directly to his own product development, building enterprise-grade prototypes himself and dramatically cutting costs and timelines in the process. He credits his ability to apply decades of business fundamentals, not the technology alone, as the real driver behind that growth.
A passionate advocate for mentorship, Tremain guest lectures on entrepreneurship at more than a dozen universities, including Howard University, and is deeply involved in the HBCU community. His advice to new entrepreneurs is simple: success rarely comes from one big moment, it comes from small, consistent actions taken over years, and from surrounding yourself with people who can see a future you can't see yet.
